Endorsement

Posted at 11:17 pm by James

I endorse Barack Obama for the office of the President of the United States of America.

To change the face of American foreign policy. To reward hope and intelligence instead of fear and manipulation. To the first presidential candidate I’ve ever actually wanted to vote for.

I may be young and naive still. But somehow I feel it’s more naive to believe anything that’s being spewed by McCain, Billary, Romney, Edwards, Giuliani, and the rest.

I can’t remember what I wanted to say! Maybe something about this election seems like I have to choose between the lesser of evils as I don’t see anybody I love. Feel free to convince me more about Obama or whoever though! ;) It seems like voting for anyone besides Obama or Clinton is foolish as there isn’t a republican who can probably win, much less one I love anyway.

Mike Huckabee has my vote. If I was your age, I probably would vote for Obama as well, because change always sounds good. But being the ancient that I am, I realize that Obama is promising way over his head. Has he told us how he will accomplish health care for everyone for a reasonable price? And what will happen in the middle east if he just brings our troops home? The safety of the whole world could easily depend on what happens in Iran, Iraq, and Israel. Even though we hate to see our soldiers hurt and killed, they have so far kept us safe at home and helped so many helpless people.

By the way, Cyd Mizzel, the gal kidnapped in Afganistan, is a former Dightman’s employee. Please pray for her safety and return.
