Softball

Today’s theme is softball.  Jamie has a softball game today, and according to one source, the baby is the size of a softball.  :)  (It varies from orange to apple to softball, depending on where you look.)

I had a doctor appointment (is it doctor appointment or doctor’s appointment?  Discuss.) yesterday.  All is well, from weight gain to heartbeat to water consumption.  Kind of a boring appointment, actually.  I guess I’d better get used to going in just say hi.

I went to school after my appointment and got to enjoy the talent show.  The best part was a kid playing Summer Time Blues on the saxophone–I think I felt the baby move!  We may have a little woodwind player on our hands!

  1. Hurray for clarinet players! So glad all is going well!

  2. I think you can say Doctor’s Appointment or Doctor Appointment. However, the appointment (from your perspective) is yours, so the apostrophe doesn’t seem needed. And yes, most of the dr. appts are very brief, “Hi” visits. I guess they usually do some measuring, but I seem to recall one or two that practically nothing happened.
