Sigh.
I stayed home from work today (don’t worry, I called for a substitute first). I have slept for about 12 hours since last night. Still tired.
However, the saddest thing is that it’s Talk Like a Pirate Day and I missed it. Luckily the kids probably didn’t know, so I can read them my pirate book tomorrow. Aye matey!
oh, becky! i hope you feel better soon. sleep more, drink some grog (or tea), and watch a good pirate movie.
Sad sick Becky!!! :( Although, you could just talk like a pirate EVERY day…
Aye, what a tragic fate to befall ye. Get better or we’ll keelhaul ye!
I just realized that colloquial Scottish sounds a lot like Pirate. Aye, it does indeed.
What a perfect opportunity to watch Little Women and all six hours of Anne of Green Gables/Avonlea! I hope you feel better tomorrow.
Well Jeni, that may be because the stereotypical pirate has a Cornish accent based on the performance of Long John Silver by actor Robert Newton in the 1950 Disney version of “Treasure Island”.
And now you know.
Yup, now I know.
:)
Becky, I like your husband.
Aah, all 6 hours of Anne of Green Gables… I did that one recent weekend while scrapbooking!
