3-d snowflakes – ooh how? we have some in the library but no one can figure out how they were made! do you have directions somewhere?

looking young – I’m constantly getting called “sweetie” “honey” and a variety of other patronizing names at work. I do a lot of gritting my teeth and bearing it. it really does feel demeaning sometimes.

I recently had a para-educator sub come into my room and tell me I didn’t look old enough to be teaching. She then proceeded to guess my age as 22. (i’m 23) Then she wanted me to guess her age! (I declinded and she told me she was 40-something) Crazy stranger! I didn’t appreciate any of this, as you might have guessed. (especially as it was in my last minutes of planning before school. I was working when she came in and she came right in, walked up to me, and began interupting what I was doing!)

Many/most of the parents of kids in my room are not that far off from my own age (older and younger!) so I luckily don’t get that from the parents.

2 – NOTHING is wrong with looking younger! I was carded at 30, made my day!
