My mom likes it when I post.
Interesting tidbits about life in Chicago:
1. I stopped at a red light the other day (generally I find that’s a good idea) and someone was walking between the stopped cars hawking their wares. However, instead of the usual newspapers, this person was selling twelve-packs of tube socks. When was the last time you were sitting at a stop light and really needed twelve pairs of tube socks?
2. My students think I dye my hair. I’ve told them that I don’t. Twice.
3. The aforementioned kiddos have been extra chatty recently. Now they are sitting in rows. I hate rows.
4. The weather has been wacko here. Freezing rain, snow, rain, more snow. That would be fun, except it isn’t pretty anymore, and we don’t get snow days.
I think that’s it. I’ll let you know about more weird Chicago type things as they come to me. :)
…so do your grandparents.
I likes it too.
(yes that was on purpose)
The infamous Mama is very pleased to be the reason for another post!
Maybe tube socks are the new glove for Chicago?!? Cut a hole for ya thumb and woot! you are good to go!
Your other mom likes it too.
Tube socks at a stoplight. Hmm, maybe we could write a song about that!
You know, I was at a stoplight just the other day thinking I could really use some tube socks.
Well, not really, especially since I don’t own a car. But I like the idea!
You should have told the guy that you were in the market for tube socks, but only needed seven pairs.
