Ridiculous
Today was truly ridiculous. We had “Clean and Green Day”, which translates to “Go out into the street and pick up garbage” day. The kids had a great time, especially the boy who found the bra on the sidewalk. No joke.
Once we returned from our gallivantings, I was informed within 15 minutes that I had not one, but two meetings that afternoon which would require me to be out of the classroom. You may ask, “But Becky, isn’t it generally a good idea to be in your classroom when your students are there?” and I would answer “Why yes, and I sure would have liked not having to spend my prep period frantically figuring out what they would do while another adult watched them.” Then we would have a nice cup of tea.
Both of the dryers in our building decided to break at the same time roughly three weeks ago. The new ones that are supposedly on order have not arrived yet, so I got to take four loads of laundry to the laundromat. It was odd.
I then bought a vacuum. It sucks, which is good for a vacuum. Except when it sucks up the cats’ favorite toy. I might have to make a trip to the pet store tomorrow to replace their dearly loved feather-on-a-stick thing. Oops.
Jamie comes home on Saturday–he’s been in Seattle interviewing like a crazy person. I want him to come home soon.
Um, wow.
So, my cat is deathly afraid of the feather on the stick toy. She loves stuffed monkey on a stick with a bell. But feathers are scary, apparently. Birds edible, feathers scary?
How’s job hunting?
For my cat to be interested, all toys must have feathers and bells. Or have a really long string/ribbon, so it is enjoyable to drag through the house and leave on our bed or in the bathroom or anyplace he thinks we might be so we will play with him.
how long was jamie gone? where is he interviewing? did none of the spring break interviews work out???
when are you moving out here? when is jamie moving???
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
