Christmas gift idea…
Given that there are 132 short shopping days until Christmas, I’m sure you’re all eager to hear the great shopping tip I received today (courtesy of a neon sign in a shop window). Well, here ’tis:
“For the person who has everything, say it with concrete”
Inside the store displaying this sentiment was a wide variety of statues, lawn ornaments, and other lovely concrete paraphernalia to aid your expression of love to those around you.
There you have it folks.
oooh! I’ve always wanted some concrete for Christmas. Concrete clothes, shoes, silverware, and jewelry. Sign me up.
We could use some “concrete” in our yard… Gotta keep up with the neighbors!
Make sure you fly Southwest home though. It will take at least one suitcase to bring it here.
;-)
Well, I don’t have a lawn, but I do have a little alcove outside my door. I was thinking about putting astroturf and a lawn chair in it, and a nice concrete yard decoration would be a perfect finishing touch.
Matt and I were just saying this morning how much better our time here in Edinburgh would be if we had some concrete paraphenalia. It should be easy to ship, too…
You guys really need a concrete flamingo on that porch of yours. We could paper-mache it in pink and sparkles! Then you could decorate it according to the seasons!!! Just like the flower lady in Tumwater!!!!
Thanks for the hint. Now I know what you REALLY want.
