I’m not loving the starting over either. Grade level changes are hard. It’s so much better when you’re at the right grade level and then can repeat what you know and improve on it! Hopefully next year, right…?

I don’t know how you do it — I don’t think I’d have the patience for a room full of kids. I barely have the patience for my own kid!
I’m sure once you get into the swing of things with the kids and once they get used to your style of teaching, things will go smoothly.

wow. I’m not surprised that Seattle kids are different than Chicago – but the actual differences are kinda surprising.
ah well, you’ll learn diverse techniques and becky’s always up for a challenge! ;)

i was in bed at 8:15.

washington kids can be twits – if they’re real bad you can impose some old school minutes of Absolute Silence and Not Moving before they can go to recess. :)

not that I would ever do a thing like that.

But they haven’t mutinied – no one’s fought – no one’s called you a cuss word. Little victories!
