My mom likes it when I post.

Interesting tidbits about life in Chicago:

1. I stopped at a red light the other day (generally I find that’s a good idea) and someone was walking between the stopped cars hawking their wares. However, instead of the usual newspapers, this person was selling twelve-packs of tube socks. When was the last time you were sitting at a stop light and really needed twelve pairs of tube socks?

2. My students think I dye my hair. I’ve told them that I don’t. Twice.

3. The aforementioned kiddos have been extra chatty recently. Now they are sitting in rows. I hate rows.

4. The weather has been wacko here. Freezing rain, snow, rain, more snow. That would be fun, except it isn’t pretty anymore, and we don’t get snow days.

I think that’s it. I’ll let you know about more weird Chicago type things as they come to me. :)

I love my hubby!

I was cranky and stressed this week. On Wednesday morning, Jamie asked if I wanted to go away this weekend. I sure did!

So, on Friday afternoon we ate dinner here, which will make Claudia jealous. Then we went here, and in the morning, went here to see snow sculptures. It was in the single digits, so the sculptures were doing well, but we were a bit too cold. It was a short, but fabulous, vacation!
