I just made popsicles! I might have one for breakfast tomorrow. I am ridiculously excited about my $3 popsicle molds.
I am not ridiculously excited about the swelling in my ankles… I’ll distract myself with frozen treats as soon as possible…

Until the “big” ultrasound! I thought I’d get antsy today, but I’m doing pretty well. I tried a water exercise class this morning, which was fun. I was actually surprised how hard it was if I pushed myself. I’m hoping to do the class 3 times a week now that I have spare time. I also cleaned the house and made cookies for small group tonight.
Still really really excited to see the baby tomorrow! S/he has been kicking like crazy (even kicked Jamie twice!) and it’s fun to see how the kicks relate to music or food. Funny kid.
Boy or girl? Boy or girl? Boy or girl? I’m actually more worried that baby will be modest than that something might be wrong… which is good. :)

Enter in the next week if you want to guess the gender!

I have done two dumb things recently (well, that I know of… who knows how many other dumb things I’ve done that I haven’t realized), and I will be blaming them on my pregnant brain, thankyouverymuch.
1. I made chicken taco meat for our small group on Monday. This wouldn’t have been dumb if I hadn’t left the spatula in the crock pot with the chicken all day long. Oops. Luckily it was a metal and silicone spatula, so no harm done.
2. I was the only one at school today (still packing up the room), so I needed to disarm the security system. After pushing a bunch of buttons in a panic, setting off the alarm (very loud!), then actually going down to the office to call the security company and let them know that I was the one who set off the alarm (they didn’t seem that concerned, nor did they ask for any verification that I was a teacher and supposed to be there… odd), I discovered the button clearly marked “OFF”. Nice one.
It’s going to be a fun four more months!
In other news, baby has been making its presence known with little kicks and flip flops for the past month or so, which is fun. So far caffeine and sugar seem to be its favorite things and I’m feeling like a bad mommy for giving it such things. I’ll get over it.
I’m also looking forward to finding out if our little it is a he or a she on July 14th! We’ll see if we can get some sort of pool started before then. :)
